Her repertoire includes stories that are rowdy and reflective, traditional and tall. Her published titles 

Include Honk! Honk! Rattle! Rattle! illustrated by Mike Abel. She has served as a Scottish Book Trust Reader in Residence for Dumfries and Galloway Libraries and as Storyteller in Residence for ShetlandArts.

She is an ambassador for the  Wigtown Book Festival and is listed in the directory for the Scottish Book Trust and the Scottish Storytelling Centre. She is a member of the Society of Authors.

Renita enjoys all ages and audiences and is adept at working with those who have learning difficulties and/or other special needs. She is a keen silly songstress and has featured at bonfires, book days and birthdays; clubs, camps and country parks; churches and schools, conferences and festivals; parents and tots groups; libraries, guilds and gardens; retreat days and relays.

She uses a variety of methods to appeal across the learning styles: repetition, rhythm and rhyme; actions and audience participation; parachutes and puppets; music, masks and hats and book-making projects.

She once told stories to a truly captive audience in a lift and can play the bagpipe with her nose.
