Renita Boyle writes poetry for largely personal reasons- finding the process both therapeutic and meditative. As a result, her poems are often grounded in life experience and in the natural world and have a spiritual quality about them. She also has a growing body of performance work.
She has been published in Southlight Magazine, has written in response to art for Spring Fling and Jupiter Artland.and has a poem on Scotland’s Poetry Map. Her poetry also appears on the Scottish Book Trust blog.
She enjoys reading her poetry and is a big fan of the Bakehouse and the Callandar Poetry Weekend.
Renita completed the NAPOWRIMO challenge to write a poem every day for a month in April 2014- engaging an online community of supporters in giving her prompts to write from. Several of these poems (along with artwork) can be viewed on her blog PoArtry.
